I purchased from an auction a beautiful revival antique Tuscan-style vanity table and bench (think ocre color with hand painted flowers on the legs and front) and wanted to use this in a nook in my library as a writing desk.In order to keep track of time I looked for an appropriate era clock.Although this clock is Victorian-style, is a bit bigger than I imagined and the clock movement is very chinzy feeling to the touch, I freely admit that dang!, it does look GREAT on the desk.Therefore, as long as no one picks it up to admire it and discover that it is a cheap knockoff, no one would be the wiser.
