I have owned this type of salad tongs for 20 years.I gave my 2nd pair to my daughter when she moved into her own place in college.A roommate left them at a potluck.So, I have been looking for 5 years for the same tongs and couldn't find them in any store.I was thrilled to find them online and am buying 5 to keep one and give away the others to friends and family that have admired mine in the past.Thedesign is VERY simple and can be used one-handed.They're rock-solid, don't need to be "babied," and keep their good looks even though they're used almost daily.
