I am very happy with this purchase. Boxes are of good quality, with nice detail work and a bit of heft to them. Clasps and hinges work well. Each box has the name of the bird printed inside so you won't forget. The boxes really were quite pretty.Each box was packaged individually in a small retail box, which included a clear picture and description, so you could split up the set and gift one or all out if you so choose. I purchased this set for my Grandmother who collects little porcelain trinket boxes and she absolutely loved them all.
The only reason this set didn't get 5 stars from me, is that I was a little disappointed in the finish. When I ordered, I thought it would have a shiny, smooth coat or finish. However, the boxes actually had more of a matte finish. By no means did this detract from the quality of the boxes. They are still pretty and were much appreciated, just not the smooth finish I was expecting.
